JOB DESCRIPTION:

Specific Job Function:

Evaluate, validate and/or verify microbiological methods and equipment in order to substantiate microbiological quality and safety of ingredients, processes and products.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

Conduct and support microbiological research and testing utilizing existing and novel experimental techniques.

Investigates, verifies and validates new microbiological procedures, with minimal guidance of a research scientist, project coordinator, or R&D manager.

Perform as a lead scientist and/or contributor to multiple projects, interacting with other groups, and sharing information, and participating in team activities.

Review, compare, revise and transfer microbiological methodologies as necessary to ensure global method harmonization within regional regulatory constraints.

Effectively document, manage and communicate relevant scientific information through multiple channels including but not limited to laboratory notebooks, technical reports, status (progress) reports.

Regularly communicate project status to management summarizing results, conclusion, and recommendations within area of responsibility.
