As a member of the corporate Maintenance Excellence team, this person will play a key role in the development and deployment of best practices across multiple Abbott sites to improve maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.  The main areas of expertise for this position are preventive and predictive maintenance, planning and scheduling and reliability. 

This person must have the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, drive towards consensus and decision and have the ability to successfully negotiate among peers and customers.

The person will collaborate with other Abbott site representatives to

  • understand their preventative maintenance and training needs based on competency, production, and equipment assessments
  • develop, recommend and implement PdM technical training programs for Abbott-wide use
  • provide assistance/guidance through communications, tools, and processes that ensure consistency of application

Expertise in

  • Maximo as a user and setting up and maintaining asset data (Asset criticality assessments and/or asset management programs)
  • PdM programs and tools, including ultrasound, infrared, vibration analysis, lubrication and oil analysis
  • Maintenance planning and scheduling

Experience with

  • Team leadership involving cross-divisional and cross-functional participants
  • Reliability tools, such as MTA and RCM, and facilitating RCA’s and FMEAs
  • Predictive maintenance data analysis
  • Maintenance storeroom management and optimization is a plus
  • Creating and improving job plans
  • Technical training within area of expertise
