ABBOTT IN PLYMOUTH
Established in 2012, our Plymouth manufacturing facility is our Cardiovascular hub and produces catheters, structural heart and closure devices, and introducers. Hosting about 2,000 employees, this site grew in its first year of production to integrate our Research, Development, and Manufacturing operations by incorporating teams from our Minnetonka and Maple Grove locations. Other teams at this location include Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, Environmental Health & Safety, as well as Finance, Human Resources, and Facilities.
This location’s ethos is all about “flow,” from our new factory floor design that facilitates seamless processing, to energy-efficient details like solar-adjusted lighting to automated water systems. We take this connection to our surrounding environment seriously with ISO 14001-certified recycling practices removing plastic products from the area’s trash stream.
